Frenemies Final Piece

After having sat and looked at the image for a while, i made a few changes. By adding a halftone filter to the 2 figurative elements, i feel it ,makes the image more Pop Art in style, as Pop art was, in its time, current with news and the social climate. I added noise distortion to the background to give it a slightley more edgy appearance that makes the whole think look a little more grungy. I like the final outcome.

Frenemies

The two images i created for the 'Frenemies' brief in editorial illustration. I decided to create something which entails good and evil, as in my opinion, the media are both good and evil. Very controlling and contrived, yet still sell millions of units and people believe everything they read, no matter what the context.

A Nation of Shopkeepers

My initial idea for the Creative Review project 'A Nation Of Shopkeepers'. Bear in mind i do not have the supporting text for this brief yet but thought i would create something for it. The idea isthe shops that were damaged during the riots have begun putting images of shoppers in the window to create the illusion that they are not shut, keeping interest in the shop. So i decided to use imagery of fake shoppers but the police tape still across the front.

This is a further development on the bicycle brief i am working on.It still needs more work but i need to think about it, and how i should use colour as i like it in this format.

Food Fight Final Idea

This is the final image for my editorial illustration peice. I changed the original image by taking away the written words and fuse wire and instead opted to incorporate symbols, warning symbols. This is to translate the meaning of the article, about people fighting over kitchen space, such as flat mates stealing your food or using your utensils. I feel this translates the meaning well visually.

This is a third rough i dea i had for the Food Fight brief, simple rough with a fridge covered in No Entry signs. I have 3 ideas now but i am not sure which one to go for yet.

A Food Fight Brief

This is the initial rough for one of the ideas i have for the 'A Food Fight Brief'. I was basing on the perfect 1950's housewifes getting angry about having their kitchen space invaded. It needs more development yet, but its a start.

This is the image i created for the Night Milk brief, i wanted to do something was not directed towards cows as that was too obvious. I though that if milk can help you sleep, that would anger the sheep who we count to help us sleep...so i took that direction.

This is my Smart Home brief final image. The brief is about how in the near future, we will be able to control our heating sytems, household electronics ect from our smart phones. This is my response, where i made a smart phone look like a house, with the apps appearing with household items in mind.
